María Victoria Murillo obtained her degree at the University of Buenos Aires and her MA and Ph.D. at Harvard University. She teaches Political Science and International Affairs at Columbia University. She has also been a visiting professor at Torcuato Di Tella University and a full-time professor at Yale University. She has obtained fellowships from the Fulbright Foundation, the Harvard Academy for International and Area Studies, the David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies at Harvard University, and the Russell Sage Foundation. In turn, she has received awards from the National Science Foundation, the American Political Science Association and the Journal Comparative Political Studies.
